How did you start at indie retail?

Jim owned a store in Michigan with a partner, sold it to a partner and then moved to Indy and helped Jeff run five stores. In 2000, Jim and Jeff had to opportunity to buy some stores from the Karma headquarters and jumped on the opportunity.

What is selling well for you at your store right now?

Ray Lamontagne, T.I. and Hank III.

What is the craziest thing a customer has ever asked you?

Can you call Wal-Mart or Best Buy and see if they have this cheaper?

What, in your opinion, is the best album of all time?

JIM: My favorite is Ben Harper’s Fight For Your Mind and the best album critically is Pink Floyd’s The Wall.

JEFF: My favorite is Frank Zappa’s Joe's Garage and the best album critically is Frank Zappa’s Hot Rats and Grand Wazoo equally.
